Naming Ceremonies is usually held to celebrate the arrival and naming of a new baby and to announce the Baby Name or Baby Names to friends and familly. An alternate to a religious christening, I can craft and deliver a ceremony to welcome the baby into the Family. Parents, grandparents and nominated ‘Life Guardians’ are involved in the ceremony who commit to be responsible for the child for their lifetime. I am a Civil Celebrant & Marriage Celebrant operating across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast and all across South East Queensland.
Naming Ceremonies can also be delivered for adults who have legally changed their name. Any excuse for a celebration!
We will work together to craft an individual ceremony with a combination of readings, rituals, symbols and music to make it a day to remember. At the conclusion of the ceremony a decorative certificate will be presented to the Parents/Client and/or Life Guardians.
Naming Ceremonies start from $225.
Note: A naming ceremony is not a legal ceremony. I will request to see a copy of the legal birth certificate or change of name certificate as part of the planning process. Note: there is no legal responsibility for the Life Guardians to raise the child in the event of the death of the parent/s – these events should be covered in a legal will.
